Overview

A loyal Tampa Bay Rays baseball fan came to Ipixels Mediaworks wanting to create a personally run, social media-focused website/blog that was dedicated to Rays’ closer Rafael Soriano.

Goals

He wanted a blog where he could publish regular posts about the sports star, update his stats and get automatic news feeds from relevant and credible sites. He wanted a design that would capture the excitement of baseball and site navigation that would keep fans coming back for more.

Solution

We built this dedicated fan a custom blog using WordPress, with a custom-designed theme that captures the Tampa Bay Rays’ brand, as well as incorporates an overall professional baseball look and feel. We integrated his Twitter feed, as well as feeds from the mlb.com and tampabayrays.com to populate his News section. Also included are places for online ads/sponsors, and a site search.
