Overview

PS Photography is a professional, award-winning photography studio that specializes in wedding and portrait photography. Run by two “storytellers,” who differentiate themselves by blending the bold & classic, editorial & organic, and artistic & traditional.

Goals

PS Photography wanted a modern, gender neutral design (not too feminine or too masculine), to represent their photography style and talent.  Their blog is a main part of their online presence and they wanted to seamlessly integrate it into their website.  They needed a new interactive portfolio page, but opted not to use Flash like so many others in the industry.  It was important for them to be able to add or remove content when they wanted so they could keep the site fresh and communicate the latest information to their audience.

Solution

Ipixels Mediaworks developed a CMS for them using WordPress to meet their content management needs. Using jQuery, we were able to keep the site interactive without the use of Flash. We tied their blog into the website, and for the theme, we used a dark background to make the pictures “pop,” and added a swirl design to the background to give it a soft yet artistic touch.
